Florian Sempey as Valentin in Faust in Munich

The French baritone Florian Sempey is currently performing the role of Valentin in Gounod’s Faust at the Bayerische Staatsoper. His noble and intensely expressive portrayal highlights the soldier’s dignity and the dramatic fervor of this central character. Critics particularly praise his command of the French style and the emotion he brings to the role’s key scenes.
