On 11 and 13 June 2021, the Opéra de Marseille is offering a highly anticipated programme of French opera arias to replace the cancelled performances of L'Africaine.
The programme features Italian conductor Roberto Rizzi Brignoli and baritone Florian Sempey.
For the Frenchman, the end of 2021 promises to be very European.
After a visit to the Mannheim Theatre (Germany) for a recital with pianist Jeff Cohen, we will be able to hear him at the Teatro Real in Madrid (La Cenerentola) and at the Donizetti Foundation in Bergamo (L'Elisir d'Amore).
Florian Sempey will also take part in the "Folle soirée de l'Opéra" at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and will again be under the baton of Roberto Rizzi Brignoli this summer, during the performances of Carmen at the Nuits Lyriques de Sanxay. The Italian conductor will then return to France in the autumn to conduct La Gioconda at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse. The end of the year will be just as exciting for the Music Director of the Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile and the Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra since January 2020.
